Co-Founder, Managing Partner
Studied Petroleum Engineering at Texas A&M, spent seven years in Engineering & Acquisitions at a Fortune 500 company, then built Gaines Capital, a commodity-heavy hedge fund serving high-net-worth individuals (including physicians) and family offices. The fund delivered 17% average annual return over five years. Somewhere along the way, it became clear that physicians were the most financially underserved high-earning profession. Now he brings that institutional investing lens to the financial questions physicians actually care about.
Jordan Abbott, MD
Co-Founder, Dermatologist
Went through UT for undergrad, UT Health San Antonio for medical school, and landed a dermatology residency at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. From there, she helped build something new as the Founding Dermatologist at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center in Phoenix. Now she practices at Baylor Scott & White in Austin with faculty appointments at the University of Arizona and MD Anderson. She is the physician voice that keeps our content honest, because financial advice that ignores how medicine actually works is not worth reading.
